Terrifier – 2017

Production by: Epic pictures, Dark Age Cinema
Distribution by: Signature Entertainment (UK)

Police are on the lookout for a thin man wearing a clown costume. This isn’t your typical confetti throwing miscreant with a poor sense of humor. This black and white faced funnyman is a Terrifier. A morbid man behind clown make-up has been dismembering bodies. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is carving them up like pumpkins this Halloween. His next three victims have been targeted tonight. Send in the clown…

Art the Clown is back! He survived All Hallows’ Eve and this time he’s a Terrifier. Three unlucky women are on the clown’s hit list. This time there’s more blood, more pieces of the dismembered body puzzle to piece back together and most importantly, more Art the Clown. Writer and director Damien Leone brings back Art the Clown from his first feature for his first sequel. There’s nothing short about this one. The man hosting an anthology in his first film is no longer clowning around. Art is in full slasher form. The face disfiguring, head dismembering black and white clown is back in full frowning form and he’s more terrifying than ever.

Leone one ups his first feature in a rare sequel that succeeds its predecessor. Two unlucky ladies pick on the wrong clown and he picks back. Terrifier is an underground gem of low budget horror movies that all horror fans should seek out. Art the Clown could easily be a future reoccurring horror icon should Leone continue to make movies with the character.
