The Avant-Gardner – 2019
Production by: Kattastrophe Productions
Ten original songs, ten unique music videos connected by an artistic life, an act of violence, death, love and rebirth. The Avant-Gardner is a music video of reincarnation. Everything about this thirty-six minute short film is a beautiful piece of art from sight, sound and through emotional performance from the next generation of filmmakers who are still inspired by their love for life and creative expression.
With an absence of music television composer and performer Lindsay Katt with Heather Matarazzo, Jeremiah Kipp and Carl Byrd direct Lindsay’s vision that's inspired by her own music combining song, performance and animation in a short film of music videos. It’s a piece of art in itself. Not a traditional movie by any means, or even a traditional musical, breathtaking visuals and catchy music carry a deep message to be who you want to be in an anthology of songs. A week out of viewing The Avant-Gardner I still have Lindsay’s song Retro stuck in my head and a lasting impression by the vibrant musician.
