Official trailer for Founders Day

Election Month Exclusive: Political slasher Founders Day has just released its first teaser trailer. In the film, a small town is shaken by a series of ominous killings in the days leading up to a heated mayoral election.



Per The Hollywood Reporter, Founders Day has been picked up by Dark Sky for North America. An award winner at this year’s Toronto After Dark Film Festival, the film has also had stops at London FrightFest, Popcorn Frights, and San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.

The film marks the reunion of 13 Reasons Why duo Devin Druid and Amy Hargreaves, who join an ensemble cast including Naomi Grace (NCIS), William Russ (Boy Meets World), Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things), Emilia McCarthy (SkyMed), and Olivia Nikkanen (The Society).

The teaser is currently playing in house at AMC Theaters in advance of a nationwide exclusive theatrical rollout on January 19, 2024.
